“The Blair Witch Project: Extended Sight Cut” is an alternate fanmade cut of the
1999 found-footage film, which is characterized by doubling its length, as well
as, in the words of the audience, showing a completely different movie.
Features.
At three hours in length, the extended cut incorporates all of the deleted
scenes from the Second Sight release, deleted scenes from the 2-hour,
30-minute Second Sight documentary, as well as the original ending presented
during its premiere at the Sundance Film Festival.
The extended cut slightly alters the subgenre of the feature away from the
supernatural realm and into the psychological consequences of the characters
finding themselves lost and with no way out in the Maryland woods.
