SAW X. Discarded concepts.

Courtesy of some storyboards of the tenth installment in the “Saw” saga, below are some concepts that were on the table for the film and were ultimately scrapped.

"Saw X". Discarded concepts.

Jigsaw tunic.

Created by designer Evan Yarbrough, the storyboards reveal that Jigsaw would have been wearing his mythical tunic during testing to begin with, until it was removed during the final game.

Different mechanism.

During Diego's test, the tape recorder with the rules of his game fell as he cut the rope that held him against the structure. Unlike the theatrical version (3 min), the victim's time was 2 min.

More flesh.

Valentina's test was a bit more elaborate and bloody. The “nurse” watched Diego's video game as an example of what she was about to experience. In turn, once the time was up, which was originally 5 minutes, and the saw cut off his head, it also cut off some of his fingers.

Alternative kidnapping.

Although in the final version it is Amanda who kidnaps Parker Sears, it was envisioned that Jigsaw himself would knock him out and tie him up.

Fallen corpse.

Mateo's test, in addition to giving him 5 minutes to complete, had an extra segment where the shackle on his neck would open, causing him to fall.

More brutality.

Once Gabriela won her test, she would fall and break her leg.
