One of the questions that has gone unnoticed within the “Saw” franchise is where
the grotesque body parts depicted in the various official posters for the series
come from. Darren Lynn Bousman, director of "Saw II", "Saw III", "Saw IV", and
"Spiral", has revealed the origin of the fingers on the official "Saw II"
poster.
Incredible coincidences.
In August 2023, Darren Bousman shared a “crazy story” on Instagram about a
night of drinking at a bar that ended with a couple of unlikely
coincidences.
The couple with whom the director's wife, Laura Bousman, was talking shared
that they were connected to the “Saw” saga, as the woman was the designer of
the posters for “Saw II” and “Saw III”, and it was her fingers that ended up
being censored in the US. In turn, the woman's partner was the baseball coach
of one of Josh Stolberg's sons, the screenwriter of “Jigsaw”, “Spiral”, and
“Saw X”.
