SAW 3D. VII and VIII original scripts.

In 2010, following the release of the so-called “Final Chapter” of the "Saw" franchise, interesting details were shared on various websites and fan pages revealing that the plot of "Saw 3D" was originally divided into two films.

"Saw VII" and "Saw VIII".

"Saw 3D" discarded concepts.

The original title was “Saw 3D: End Game”.

The Public Trap begins differently. A child and his mother are walking through the city and approach the trap, and it begins. The trap is covered with a red blanket at first.

The Public Trap was to be staged in a toy store instead of a hardware store, with a sequence that included a toy train that the child followed to a sign that read “Do not touch the glass”, with two messages on the sides that read “Two clowns with all-too-familiar spirals on their faces”.

The two guys in this trap were dressed as clowns and had spirals drawn on them like Billy. They were sitting in a chair and had to move the saws with their feet, not their hands. Dina would be dressed as a ballerina.

There was a toy with a trumpet that played a version of “Hello Zepp”.

The warning sign that said “Do not touch the glass” was there because every time someone touched it, a sensor was activated and a shotgun fired. When the trap was activated, a spectator began hitting the glass and was shot in the head.

It was envisioned that the survivors of the trap would be Dina and Brad, with Ryan being cut down by the saws.

At the end of the trap, the camera pans back from the scattered crowd to show Jigsaw standing there watching the game, raising doubts as to whether he is actually still alive or if it is a flashback.

The Public Trap was originally intended to be the setting for Bobby's final test. At that time, there was a different initial trap in which several victims were forced to push each other off the roof of a tall building in order to survive. The Public Execution Trap was created because Mark Burg and Oren Koules saw potential in showing a trap in the Public Square to promote the film, but they didn't want to reveal the final trap that Bobby would have to face.

When Hoffman exits the RBT2, he shouts, “You think you can kill me, bitch? Nobody can kill me, you hear me? Nobody's going to kill me!”.

According to the script, it is known that Hoffman took between one and three hours to find another place to hide after leaving the zoo.

At first, Hoffman would already be packing his bags to leave town, but he would pause for a moment when he saw a photo of Bobby on a wall. The safe where Daniel was found in "Saw II" would appear here, in the background.

When Bobby recounts his experience on the news, there is a flashback to his trap; the script specifies that it is a place that looks sterile and clean.

There were going to be more scenes in the safe house where Jill is taken, such as when she gives a shopping list to an agent who will go and buy her food.

Hoffman's dialogue during Jill's dream is different: “You know what the worst part about killing you is, Jill? I won't be able to do it again”.

Jill, before dying in her sleep, yells at Hoffman, “Fuck you”.

Jill had many more pills on her table when she got up.

Daniel Matthews, Pamela Jenkins, and Brent Abbot (Tara's son) were supposed to appear at the survivors' reunion, but were unable to do so due to scheduling conflicts with the actors.

When Bobby goes to the car with Joyce, he sees a large pool of blood on the ground, crouches down, and when he stands up, Pigmask is behind him.

When they arrive at the junkyard, Gibson slowly approaches Evan... and suddenly Evan starts screaming, spitting blood, and crying. The doctors take him away. Because Bennington had a very busy schedule at the time and only had one day available for filming, the filmmakers did not have time to shoot the hospital scene, so Evan's character was rewritten to die.

Bobby's game was going to take place in the dark, and he would use night vision.

The survivor that Cale and Bobby saw on television in the bar was Joyce. Bobby would be drawn to her, and her story would inspire and motivate him. Joyce, then, would encourage him to continue lying because she liked the fame and attention it brought them. Bobby, in turn, felt overwhelmed by all the attention they were receiving; and when he had doubts about lying, Joyce would push him back into the charade. Originally, Joyce was supposed to be a survivor who had gone astray.

When Gibson talks to Rogers about the Garage Trap, they are in Jigsaw's trap room, where Jill dies.

The traps in the room had photos of those who died in them.

Joyce's trap was going to be an iron pig, and smoke would come out of its nose.

Hoffman picks up Jill, saying, “Hey, let's have some fun...” When taking the RBT, he says, “You're beautiful”.

When Hoffman gives Jill the RBT, she mentions that she is killing herself.... Hoffman replies, “You already are”.

In Jill's actual death, previously unseen flashbacks of her and John appear.

In the last three seconds of Jill's life, Hoffman says “Game Over”.

The woman on TV at Hoffman's hideout says that nine inspectors died.

In the end, Hoffman says to Dr. Gordon, “What the hell are you doing here?” and he replies, “Every decision has a consequence... and you chose wrong”.

There is a scene where Gordon sees a news anchor on TV announcing Jill's death.

Gordon is shown placing the ankle bracelet on Eric's broken foot before Eric is put into the ice block trap in "Saw IV".

At one point, Jigsaw tells Gordon to bring all the survivors together so he can begin his own legacy. There is then a flashback of the survivors' testimonies saying, “He helped me”.

"VII"

Originally, “Saw VII” was going to begin with the Garage Trap.

Hoffman was hardly going to appear in the film, and the final twist in the story is that Hoffman was inside the body bag, hidden there the whole time. Very much in the style of the first installment.

In the end, Jill manages to escape from Hoffman.

The final scene showed Bobby in the hospital repeating over and over that he lied, after the strong impact caused by Joyce's death. A man approaches him and tells him that everything will be okay. That man is Dr. Gordon.

"VIII"

"Saw VIII" was going to start with the public trap, and Jigsaw was going to be present in it.

Jill finally dies in the RBT.

At the end of the film, Gordon, Brad, and Ryan catch Hoffman saying the phrase, “His disease is spreading”

It is revealed that Gordon was with Jigsaw during the public trap. Gordon listens to John deliver a monologue that ends with the phrase, “Are you ready to save lives?”.

They explain how Gordon survived. Gordon was not an apprentice, much less a successor. He lost his job and his family, and with nothing left to live for, Jigsaw offered him a chance to start a new life by helping him carry on his work and continue his legacy alongside the other survivors.
