JACKASS. UNCENSORED LOST EPISODE. +18

"Jackass: Too Hot For TV" was an American television special that was scheduled to air on August 9, 2002. It was one of three MTV network specials that would air in the run-up to the release of Paramount Pictures & MTV Films' "Jackass: The Movie" on October 25, 2002. The stunts performed in "Jackass: Too Hot For TV" pushed the limits of what could be broadcast on television, coming under pressure from lawmakers to air the special at a later time.

MTV's leap from television production to film production, it gained the ability to produce and release content that could potentially be rated for a more mature audience without complying with television censors and regulations. In the run-up to the R-rated "Jackass: The Movie," MTV aired three television specials to promote the upcoming film. The first of the three specials was titled "Too Hot For TV," featuring stunts and clips from the series that never made it into the final edit.

This particular special has never officially seen the light of day since its scheduled airing on MTV, possibly as a result of political pressure publicized by Senator Joseph Lieberman, who urged MTV to air its hit TV show "Jackass" at a later period and include more explicit and direct warnings about the potential consequences of each stunt. He also claimed that the show's rating for mature audiences was undermined by the fact that MTV promotes "Jackass" during the rest of its programming when children may be watching. This was particularly in light of unfortunate news stories about children who were rumored to have emulated the dangerous activities featured on the show and suffered serious injuries as a result of such actions. Therefore, it was never aired, and instead the music video Making Of 'We Want Fun' by Andrew WK was aired.

A VHS tape of this special, which included no censorship (with explicit nudity, for example), was rumored to have circulated among the cast, crew and their friends during this time. In the many years since its scheduled broadcast, communities have wondered, pondered and requested that this special be officially released on domestic media, without getting a response from the MTV network.

Randomly, on August 15, 2021, user Sloan's TV Airchive uploaded an uncensored version of the special to YouTube, so that episode is currently considered recovered.
