BLINDMAIDEN.

“Blindmaiden” is a grim urban legend that became popular online in the early 2010s, about a supposedly cursed website that promises disastrous consequences for anyone who interacts with it.

"Blindmaiden."

There is an urban legend about a website known as Blind Maiden. Most internet users believe it is just a myth, but the site is real, although accessing it requires fulfilling a very specific set of conditions.

To log on, you must be completely alone at home, at exactly 12:00 midnight, on a moonless night, with every single light in the house turned off. If you attempt to access it at any other time or with any light on, the URL simply won't load or will display a server error.

If you meet all the requirements and type the address into your browser (www.blindmaiden.com), the screen will light up, revealing a macabre interface. The first thing you'll see is a rotating gallery of disturbing photographs: faces of terrified people with empty, bleeding eye sockets and expressions contorted in agony.

While watching the gallery, a pop-up window will appear in the center of the screen with the following prompt:

"Do you want to experience a real world of horror?"

Below the text, there will be two buttons:

Accept and Decline.

If you click Decline, the site will close immediately, your IP address will be permanently banned, and you will never hear from the site again, beyond the lingering shock of the images you saw.

However, if out of curiosity or bravery you decide to click Accept, there is no turning back.

The screen will change, launching a low-quality live video stream. At first, you will only see a dark silhouette walking down a dimly lit hallway. As the figure advances, a chill will run down your spine as you recognize the paint, the doors, and the decor: the stream is broadcasting the hallway of your own home.

The first-person camera continues moving slowly toward the room where you are sitting. On your monitor, you will watch a live feed of your own back, seated right in front of the computer. In that exact moment, you will feel a freezing presence directly behind you and cold breath brushing against your neck.

The last thing you will ever experience is the Blind Maiden grabbing your head from behind. Before you can scream, move, or slam your laptop shut, she will tear out your eyes to add your face to the website's gallery of victims, where your image will remain hanging forever.
