Schizophrenia is a chronic and severe mental disorder characterized by causing
people who suffer from it to interpret “reality” in an “abnormal” way. This
disorder can cause a combination of hallucinations, delusions, and severe
disturbances in thinking and behavior, which end up affecting daily
functioning to the point of incapacitating the sufferer. Throughout history,
these symptoms have been portrayed through grim drawings that have helped
those affected to cope with their illness.
