FRANZ REICHELT'S TRAGIC JUMP. +18

On February 4, 1912, in Paris, France, an Austrian tailor named Franz Reichelt climbed to the first platform of the Eiffel Tower to test a parachute suit he had just invented. Unfortunately for him, his novel invention failed, resulting in tragedy and becoming one of the first fatal accidents to be captured on film from start to finish.
