On July 14, 1982, just before midnight, 33-year-old Robert Beckowitz was with his girlfriend, Jeannine Clark, 21, and his friend James Edward Glover, 37, watching "The Benny Hill Show" on television. Without warning, James grabbed a gun from Robert and shot him point-blank in the back of the head, then stabbed him 83 times.
