“L'Inferno” is a 1911 Italian silent Horror film, written and directed by
Francesco Bertolini, Adolfo Padovan, and Giuseppe de Liguoro, under the
production company Milano Films. The film serves as a loose adaptation of Dante
Alighieri's “Divine Comedy,” and is also the first feature-length film in
Italian cinema and the oldest film in the world to have been preserved
completely intact.
Synopsis.
The poet Dante, lost in a dark forest, is guided by Virgil through the nine
circles of Hell.
