“Treadmill” is a 2024 American Psychological Horror short film, written and directed by Sam Krebs under the independent production company and YouTube channel Patio Pictures. The short film won awards at the 2025 Austin Horror Film Festival and the 2024 Brooklyn SciFi Festival, and was an official selection at the 2025 Panic Fest and the 2025 Lund Fantastic Film Festival.
Synopsis.
TREADMILL places you inside the body of Morgan, a programmer on a small indie team forced to beta test a revolutionary wellness app on themselves. When a catastrophic bug traps them inside a nightmarish augmented reality, the line between code and consciousness begins to collapse.
